Medi-Cal and Cash
The Department of Psychiatry at LBMMC provides consultation coverage for Medi-Cal and uninsured (cash) patients according to the psychiatry ER schedule. The most up-to-date schedule for the current week can be accessed on LBMMC’s intranet home page. For instructions on how to access the schedule, please see below:
- Open the internet on most computers on campus (or by following the link: http://mhs.memnet.org/index.cfm?campus=lbmmc&site=lbmmc).
- You may need to copy and paste this link into the browser; if you are outside of LBMMC you may need to first log in to the system.
- Click on Emergency Room Call Schedule in the left-hand side LBMMC Menu (screen shot below).
- Scroll down to the pdf file with the most recently revised schedule for different departments (see screen shots below).
- You will see the column for Psychiatry and you will be able to identify the doctor who is on call for that day.
Please note that the coverage starts at 7am of that day and ends at 7am the following day. To determine who is responsible for the call please check the time that the order for the consultation was entered. If it falls at the time of either Dr. Aleksandra Wirga or Dr. Mariusz Wirga’s coverage, please call (562) 457-0978 and follow instructions to leave the message (Please speak slowly and provide your name, the patient’s name, bed number, date of birth, reason for the consultation and the name of the ordering physician).
